Presentation Skills
Want to get top marks in your assessed presentations? Want to learn more about what makes a great presentation? In this session, we will look at some of the most common mistakes that WBS postgraduate students make when presenting and you will be given practical tips on how to improve your presentation skills. We will be focusing on the importance of presentation language (e.g. signposting, referring to visuals and dealing with questions), how to maintain the interest of your audience through the voice (e.g. tonal units/chunking, volume, pace and pitch), and rhetorical devices (rhetorical questions and tripling).
The 90 minute workshop will run three times:
- Saturday 8th May: 12.00-13.30
- Saturday 8th May: 14.00-15.30
- Saturday 15th May: 12.00-13.30
The workshop will be delivered via Microsoft Teams and you will receive an invite to join the workshop 1-2 days in advance.
