IB9X80 Fixed Income and Credit Risk

This module describes important fixed income securities and their derivatives in modern financial markets. The main goal is to provide you with state-of-the art models and technique to value fixed income securities with and without credit risk, and how to manage interest rate risk using credit derivatives. This module is divided into two parts with the first part covering default-free fixed income instruments, and the second part developing models to incorporate credit risk into the valuation of them. To make the material broadly accessible, concepts and intuitions are, whenever possible, highlighted rather than advanced mathematics.
