Collaborative PhD with EIT, Ningbo
The Eastern Institute of Technology, Ningbo (EIT) is a private non-profit research university located in Ningbo, China. EIT aims to foster top-notch STEM scholars with emphasis on innovative research of core “stranglehold” technologies and teaching in science, engineering, information technology, and business management, supplemented by fields of Humanities and Social Sciences. In December 2023 we signed a partnership agreement to establish a collaborative PhD mobility programme.
Programme Overview
The Programme duration is four years. In general, applicants admitted to the Programme will spend the first and last years at Warwick and the second and third years at EIT, Ningbo. For the Academic Year 2025/26, the Programme recruits ten PhD students who will benefit from co-supervision and mobility opportunities through collaboration between Warwick and EIT, Ningbo.

Selection Process
To apply for the Collaborative PhD Mobility Programme, applicants must meet the admission requirements of both Institutions.
- EIT will perform an initial selection. Detailed information on the application process can be found on the EIT webpage (link to be provided by EIT).
- Eligible candidates will be invited by Warwick Postgraduate Admissions Team to apply for admission to the PhD programmes via the University of Warwick's Graduate Admission System.
- Warwick Postgraduate Admissions Team will coordinate with the relevant Departments/Schools and make the final determination on admission.
