A warm welcome to the new Warwick-led EUTOPIA Connected Community

Following the 2025 selection meeting, during which EUTOPIA partner universities chose the next generation of EUTOPIA Integrated Connected Communities, we are pleased to announce that ‘HoPE Nexus: a Habitat of Planetary Ecologies for Sustainable Futures’ is the new Warwick-led EUTOPIA Connected Community.

The Connected Community is led by Professor Elena Korosteleva and colleagues from the School of Cross-Faculty Studies. It has participation from 4 other EUTOPIA partners and 2 Global Partners: NOVA University Lisbon, the University of Ljubljana, CY – Cergy Paris University, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Monash University, and Stellenbosch University.

The Community’s programme of work involves research, education and impact activities that enable a holistic understanding of ecology, sustainable development, governance, technology and policy. Congratulations to the Colleagues for the excellent proposal.

Warwick is also involved, as a partner, in four other Connected Communities selected in this round: ‘Reverse Engineering and Digital Imaging: from Cultural Heritage to Material Culture’ (led by UNIVE), ‘BioMArCHER: Biomineralization in Medicine, Archaeology, and Cultural Heritage’ (led by GU), ‘SEEDS for Tomorrow: Supporting Education, Employability, and Development of PhD candidateS’ (led by NOVA), and ‘United Minds: A Connected Approach to Trauma, Resilience and Mental Health’ (led by TUD).

You can see the full list of selected Connected Communities for this third round HERE.

60 EUTOPIA Connected Communities are now active, and Warwick leads or participates in 29.

A celebration of the achievements of EUTOPIA Communities will take place during the upcoming EUTOPIA week at Warwick (30 June-4 July). Save the date and details will follow soon!
