Information Sessions on EU Funding
The Information Sessions on EU Funding are 40 minutes online briefing sessions taking place every Wednesday at lunchtime (12- 12.40) starting 23 July and will each cover a different Horizon Europe funding call. The sessions are delivered by Lelia Buretia, EU Research Development Officer. The sessions will consist of: 1) roughly a 25 minutes presentation on the funding call including: overview, funding available, eligibility, application/ assessment process and 2) up to 15 min questions.

Strengthening Transatlantic Ties: Warwick Welcomes Delegations from Washington University in St. Louis
Last week, the University of Warwick was delighted to host two distinguished delegations from Washington University in St. Louis (WashU), further strengthening the growing partnership between our institutions.
Warwick hosts EUTOPIA Week 2025
30th June - 4 July: The University of Warwick will be hosting EUTOPIA Week as part of our 60th anniversary celebrations, welcoming participants from across Europe and beyond to our campus.

This edition:
- Welcomes the University of Luxembourg as the newest member of The Guild.
- On 22–23 May, university presidents from The Guild and LERU gathered in Leuven to celebrate the 600th anniversaries of UCLouvain and KU Leuven. Joined by European policymakers and higher education leaders, they explored how universities can shape the future of Europe in a rapidly changing world.
- The launch of the annual lecture on academic freedom in Brussels, in partnership with Université PSL and Institut Curie.
- Explores the latest insight paper on how universities can drive a sustainable and just transition, and the support they need to make it happen
University of Luxembourg joins The Guild
The Guild is excited to welcome The University of Luxembourg as its newest member. The University proudly joins our distinguished network, reaffirming our commitment to academic and scientific excellence, societal impact, and international collaboration. The Guild now comprises twenty-three member universities.
Strengthening Global Ties: Warwick Joins Fudan’s 120th Anniversary Celebrations
On 27th May 2025 Fudan University celebrated 120 years since it’s foundation. Professor Sai Gu, deputy pro-vice-chancellor (East and Southeast Asia) attended a two day conference to mark the anniversary which included research seminars and roundtables.
Launch of annual lecture series on Academic Freedom
The Guild has launched an annual lecture series on academic freedom, marking International Academic Freedom Day in Brussels. The launch event of the series took place on 20 May 2025 and was co-organised with Université PSLLink opens in a new window and Institut CurieLink opens in a new window. The event brought together policymakers, university networks, and researchers to discuss the importance of scientific independence and international collaboration.
