Venice in Peril

Congratulations to Guy Ridsdill Smith for winning the first Venice in Peril Fund Coursework Prize for Warwick students in Venice. The prize was awarded for Guy’s research project, completed as part of the Warwick History module “Renaissance in Venice”, which focused on the history of the Venetian printing press.
The prize ceremony was held yesterday with our Guy Elliott, our Chairman, Anthony Roberts, our Vice-Chair, and the Venice in Peril team. It is inspiring to hear about the positive experiences Warwick students have had in Venice, creating memories they will undoubtedly cherish for years to come.
A great way to commemorate the ongoing collaboration between the University of Warwick (@uniofwarwickLink opens in a new window) and the Venice in Peril Fund, a partnership that has existed since the Warwick History Programme in Venice was established in 1967 by founding professor of History at Warwick, Professor John Hale, with the support of our honorary president, Lady Frances Clarke.
