The University of Warwick is strengthening its position as a global research leader through a growing portfolio of international seed funds designed to spark high-impact collaborations and address shared global challenges. These initiatives are already enabling pioneering interdisciplinary projects, deepening academic partnerships, and supporting innovative research with the potential for worldwide societal benefits.

The University of Warwick has marked One World Warwick this March with a dynamic series of global initiatives, partnerships, and events - celebrating international collaboration, cultural diversity, and global impact.

The University of Warwick deepened its partnership with Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) during a recent visit led by Professor Michael Scott, Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International), who travelled alongside senior colleagues to advance joint initiatives across the humanities, sciences, and student mobility. 

In autumn last year, the Commission published its new Data Union Strategy alongside a legislative package containing proposals for the Digital Omnibus. On 13 March, MEP Christian Ehler and MEP René Repasi published their draft reports for the European Parliament on the European Commission’s proposals for the Horizon Europe framework programme 2028-34 (FP10). The Guild warmly welcomes their ambition for a reform of FP10 so that it can more effectively and efficiently boost Europe’s scientific leadership, competitiveness and prosperity.

The University of Warwick celebrated the successful launch of the Warwick India Network (WIN) on Monday 16 March, taking place at the heart of One World Warwick, the University’s celebration of global perspectives, cultural diversity and international collaboration. The timing underscored the spirit of the initiative, bringing people together across cultures, disciplines and experiences. More than 100 academic and professional staff and students joined the event to explore and shape Warwick’s growing engagement with India.

Warwick’s campus buzzed with energy on 10 March as over 80 students dove into a world of international possibilities at the Go Global Fair. From study abroad pathways and global work placements to immersive cultural experiences, attendees explored a vibrant mix of opportunities designed to elevate their Warwick journey.
