Warwick's Centre for Lifelong Learning welcomes Singapore University of Social Sciences Delegation

The Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL) at the University of Warwick welcomed a delegation from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) on 23 April to explore opportunities for collaboration in lifelong learning, adult education, skills development and employability.

The visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to exchange perspectives on the growing impact of lifelong learning for individuals, organisations and wider society, and to consider how research and practice can better evidence and strengthen these outcomes globally.

Discussions highlighted a number of areas of shared interest with strong potential for future collaboration, including;

  • Adult learner motivation and support, particularly in diverse and rapidly changing learning environments
  • Degree apprenticeships and workplace learning, with an emphasis on applied, practice‑based education
  • Andragogy for impact, exploring teaching approaches that meaningfully enhance adult learning outcomes
  • Reinventing the delivery of adult learning, including flexible, technology‑enabled and work‑integrated models

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continue discussions and to develop concrete areas of collaboration. As an immediate next step, colleagues from CLL have been invited to contribute to an expert panel at the SUSS Andragogy for Impact Conference 2026.
