Following the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding with Fudan University in April 2017, the Warwick academic delegation returned to Fudan to develop existing collaborations in Applied Linguistics and explore new areas of possible joint activity, with a focus on the Humanities and the sharing of best practice in teaching innovation. At Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed to launch a suite of joint activities in the area of Applied Linguistics and Intercultural Communication. Collaborations in Engineering and Psychology were also discussed. The delegation also visited Zizhu International Education Park and Shanghai Film Art Academy.
