Changes for Warwick Sport leadership team
In the New Year there will be two important changes affecting the Warwick Sport leadership team.
Lisa Dodd-Mayne will be joining the University as Director for Sport & Active Community, the new senior leader for Warwick Sport.
Current Acting Director for Sport, James Ellis, will be taking up a new role as Development Director for Sport and Leisure, working as part of the business development team in the Campus & Commercial Services Group.
Lisa joins us from Wakefield Council where she has responsibility for sport, culture and leisure services. Her experience in a complex, demanding role will bring great value to our community and her passion for sport, service excellence and community participation will help us further progress our ambitious programme to increase the numbers of Warwick students and staff choosing to engage in active lifestyle services. Lisa will lead the Warwick Sport team who have delivered a major modernisation programme over the last 2 years and together they will deliver significant improvements in student and staff experience. Lisa will report in to Mike Roberts, Director for Campus Services & IT.
James moves on to a new, exciting role looking at new business development. His significant experience in sport will provide a natural focus on opportunities in that area, but he will also work across the University on other opportunities. The University in general, and CCSG in particular, have an ambitious strategy and the selection and introduction of new services will be key to realising our ambitions. James' new role, and his skills and experience, represent an important development in the University's ability to grow. James will continue to work with the Warwick Sport team on specific projects, but his reporting line will be within the business development team in CCSG, reporting to Bob Hogg, Business Development Director.
Lisa and James take up their new roles on 5 January 2015 and appropriate induction programmes will be arranged. We wish both a successful and enjoyable time in their new roles.
