Liver condition identified in patients using urine samples: new research

Fifty fragments of proteins, termed peptides, have been identified in the urine of liver fibrosis patients in a new study that could pave the way for a potential diagnostic urine test for the condition if further validated.


Coronavirus and people with learning disabilities: a study of the lives of people with learning disabilities through the coronavirus pandemic

A UK-wide coalition including the University of Warwick has today launched an inclusive survey which will ask people with learning disabilities in the UK to answer questions about their wellbeing, health, living circumstances, the support they are getting, and the impact of COVID-19 on their lives. The research team has partners in all 4 UK countries. An Easy Read press release has been issued reflecting the centring of people with learning disabilities in the research.

University of Warwick and testing mega lab in Leamington Spa

The University of Warwick is geographically very close to the proposed location of a testing mega lab in Leamington Spa that was announced today. The University has been asked if we can help with this initiative and we have offered our full support. WMG academic helps identify the frameworks for the Government to enrol Autonomous Vehicles

When it comes to Autonomous Vehicles the question on everyone’s lips is when will they be on the roads? However for them to be safely deployed there must be a policy framework.

In the report, ‘Safe Drive Initiative: SafeDI Scenario-Based AV Policy Framework - an overview for policymakers, published by the World Economic Forum, Dr Siddartha Khastgir from WMG, University of Warwick as part of the Technical Working Group of the Safe Drive Initiative, contributed to the technological aspects of the policy framework building on his UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship research outcomes.
