As students across the country receive their A-level results this week, the University of Warwick has retained its sixth-placed ranking in the Daily Mail University Guide 2026.

The Guide highlighted Warwick’s excellence in “graduate salaries” (ranked 6th), supporting students to achieve “high-skilled jobs” (ranked 7th), and “research quality” (ranked 12th) as standout features.

In the subject rankings, Economics (ranked 2nd out of 81), Physics and Astronomy (ranked 2nd out of 42), and Marketing (ranked 4th out of 89) were all recognised as outstanding – a testament to the teaching and research environment at Warwick.

Professor Stuart Croft, Vice-Chancellor and President, University of Warwick, said:

“To be recognised as one of the country’s leading universities again this year is a testament to the hard work of our dynamic Warwick community. It reflects the dedication, talent, and ambition of our staff and students who make Warwick a world-class centre for research and teaching.

“We are committed to providing the very best educational experience for our students that equips them with the skills and experience to succeed in their lives after Warwick and make a positive contribution to society.

“As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, Warwick will continue leading the way in research, teaching, and innovation – shaping the future on a global stage.”

The Daily Mail University Guide 2026 also recognised the University’s emphasis on social inclusion, innovation, and sustainability.

The rankings praised that Warwick’s outreach programmes “reach 300 secondary schools and sixth-form colleges across the Midlands”, that “the value of the Warwick bursary has risen sharply this year”, and that “several campus infrastructure projects will be completed in time for the September 2026 student intake” that include “improved energy efficiency and aesthetics”.

Describing Warwick’s performance, the Daily Mail University Guide 2026 said:

“Sixty years after its establishment, Warwick claims to have achieved more than other universities have accomplished in two centuries. It is hard to disagree, with its consistent top-ten domestic ranking and graduates who are in demand - the sixth most sought-after by top graduate recruiters according to the respected High Fliers report.”

The detailed rankings are available here. The print edition of the guide will be featured in the Mail on Sunday on 7 September 2025.
