Christmas on Campus

At Christmas time many students return home to spend the festive season with their families. The University of Warwick campus is, however, home to staff and students all year round so there is always something happening.

Christmas closure dates 

The University will officially close on Friday 21 December 2007 and will re-open on Wednesday 2 January 2008 but during this time, many facilities are still open.

Arts Centre

Warwick Arts Centre has a variety of shows on during the festive period including Jacqueline Wilson's The Suitcase Kid and If All the World Were Paper by Oily Cart. More information and details for booking tickets are on the Warwick Arts Centre website.

Sports Centre 

The Sports Centre will be closed from 11am on Friday 21 December and will reopen on Thursday 27 December. The Sports Centre will also be closed on Tuesday 1 January, but will re-open with extended weekend opening hours from Wednesday 2 January onwards. For more details visit the Sports Centre website.

University House and Learning Grid 

University House will be closed from 6.00pm Monday 24 December until 8.00am Wednesday 26 December. At all other times University House will remain open to allow students access to the Learning Grid.

The Learning Grid will be closed from 6pm on Monday 24 December and will reopen at 8am on Wednesday 26 December.

The Biomed Grid will be closed from the 22 December until the 1 January.

Spring 2008

Students return for the Spring term which begins on Monday 7 January and then the new year brings a new wave of activities.

Winter degree ceremonies will take place Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 January.

The world's largest student-run global event - One World Week - returns between 18 and 26 January.
