Connect2 the University of Warwick

Update: 12th December - Thanks to everyone who voted the Sustrans Connect2 project was the winner of the People’s £50 Million Lottery Giveaway!

Walkways and cycleways between the University and Kenilworth could be greatly improved if the national Connect2 initiative wins the People’s £50 Million Lottery Giveaway on ITV1 in December.

Connect2 is an initiative of Sustrans, the UK’s leading sustainable transport charity and is one of four finalists competing for the £50 million. Staff and students at the University are being urged to support the initiative and students are even organising a cycling rally on campus on Tuesday 27th November to demonstrate their support for the project.

If enough votes are cast, the UK-wide project would transform local travel in 79 cities, towns and villages by creating new walking and cycling routes. The proposed Kenilworth-University cycle route is one strand of the 79 which make up the nationwide project.
