The Coull Quartet Welcomes a New Member
The Coull Quartet, the University’s Quartet-in-Residence, welcomes Rose Redgrave as their new viola player.
Rose brings a wealth of experience in contemporary and period performance to the Quartet, having performed with ensembles such as Chroma, Lontano, Sound Collective and the Orchestre Revolutionaire et Romantique. As a former member of the Luventus Quartet, she is greatly looking forward to immersing herself in the string quartet repertoire once more.
After six very productive years with Gustav Clarkson the Quartet is looking forward to a busy schedule with Rose, including a new commission from Sally Beamish as part of their ‘Beyond the Lyric’ collaboration with former CAPITAL Centre Fellow in Creativity Fiona Sampson, piano quintets with pianists Martin Roscoe, Clélia Iruzun and Mark Bebbington, more ‘tavern’ concerts, and the release of two new CDs.
