European Conference on Complex Systems
The European Conference on Complex Systems (ECCS) will be held at the University of Warwick between the 21st and 25th September this year.
ECCS is the major annual international event of the growing complex systems community since the conference series established itself at Torino in 2004.
The ECCS conference series allows established researchers and interested newcomers to obtain and maintain an overview on ongoing complex systems research, to exchange research ideas and to develop research projects with the leading experts in the field.
Bookings for the conference closed on the 1st September.
The conference consists of plenary key note lectures, a public session on ‘The Complexity of Global Change’ and tracks devoted to certain research including policy, planning and infrastructre; collective human behaviour and society; interacting populations and environment; complexity and computer science; and molecules and living systems.
The tracks have been created mainly with respect to applications, not methodologies in order to emphasise the multi‐disciplinary approach ECCS like to support.
ECCS’09 will also have a special emphasis on mathematical modelling, documenting the long and rich history and international reputation of the Warwick Mathematics Institute in supporting multi‐disciplinary research.
