Outstanding Grades

Originally published 25 November 2002

Two projects completed by staff from Centre for Research in Ethnic Relations (CRER) Resources Centre have been graded outstanding by evaluators on behalf of the ESRC. Supplementary funding for the Resources Centre from 1998 to 2001 enabled staff to support the building and maintenance of the Centre’s reference collection, its research and information services, and the maintenance of the Centre’s web site. Additional funding for an Assistant Librarian facilitated further maintenance and development of the site.

The outstanding grades indicate that the projects fully met their objectives and have "provided an exceptional research contribution well above average or very high in relation to the level of award". This is the third outstanding grade in a row for Resources Centre staff, who received the same grade last year for creating an online database of resources in ethnic relations.

Resources Centre staff are currently working on an ESRC-funded project to create a web-based guide to resources in ethnic relations, which has involved a complete revamp of the web site. The new site can be found at: http://www.warwick.ac.uk/CRER
