This is a new site which the Policing and Crime Reduction Group at the Home Office hope will grow in to a “one stop shop” for all crime reduction and personal safety advice issues relating to students, whether on or off campus and during term time and vacation. It will also be relevant to parents with children in higher education, as well as all those working in higher education institutions.

good2Bsecure has been created by the Policing and Crime Reduction Group to offer information and advice to students on how to avoid becoming a victim of crime while at university. It is the first site in the country to deal specifically with the impact of crime on students as a separate group.

The Group are working with a range of organisations to raise awareness of student victimisation - these include NUS, AUCSO (Association of University Chief Security Officers), Universities UK and PAHELO (Police Association of Higher Education Liaison Officers).
