Diabetes in Older Care

GPs, hospital doctors, nurses, and dieticians were among the students who completed the first academic training programme in Diabetes in Older People at Warwick in November 2002. The programme, run over five days, consisted of lectures, seminars and case history based tutorials. Leading consultants in diabetes care in the elderly from across the UK attended as guest speakers. The programme was led by Warwick's Professor Alan Sinclair, Professor of Medicine (Geriatrics) and Dr Roger Gadsby, Senior Lecturer in Primary Care.
