In order to improve the presentation and delivery of information on the web, we are introducing a new design for University web sites.

The new design will provide a strong and modern identity, which will present the University's web content in a more consistent manner. It will also give departments the opportunity to customise some of the elements of their site more strongly than the previous design.

For users, the design will comply with new standards for accessibility, will validate better, work more consistently across all modern browsers and improve the experience of accessing the University's web sites.

The design has been developed based on feedback from departments and discussions with users, incorporating a number of changes that have been requested over the last year.

A website has been set up to provide information about the new design and other changes. Examples of the new design and an explanation of why we are making the changes is available at http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/id2/.
