End of Term Concerts from the Music Centre

The University's Music Centre will be finishing the academic year with a series of concerts to celebrate the efforts of the students and staff over the last 12 months.

The concerts will also be the last on campus for Colin Touchin, Director of Music.

The Music Centre is one of the most active, student-oriented music centres in the country, and has an enviable record of high quality music-making in the West Midlands, UK and abroad by students of all degree subjects.

Concert Dates

Friday 20 June 6 - 8 pm
Free concert in the Open Air on the field opposite Senate House, featuring the Wind Orchestra, the Brass Band and the Symphony Orchestra, ending with the rousing 1812 Overture.

Saturday 21 June 7.30pm St. Mary's Church, Leamington Spa
Chamber Choir and Chamber strings including Monteverdi, Gershwin, Touchin, Mozart, Haydn, and many more!

Tuesday 24 June 8pm in Butterworth Hall
"Mozart at the Movies" Chorus (250 voices - our biggest-ever summer term choir, including returning former students and staff) and Symphony Orchestra. The concert includes Mozart's Requiem and Bernstein's On the Waterfront, Berlioz Nuits d'ete and Handel's Zadok the Priest. The concert will conclude a thrilling year of music-making.
