Warwick University celebrated the achievements of Open Studies students at a special award ceremony on Saturday 18 October.

The Open Studies programme provides opportunities for study to people who often have work and family commitments. The programme offers daytime and evening courses both on the University campus and in centres around Coventry and Warwickshire. A wide range of courses is available and an Open Studies course can be used as a pathway to additional academic study.

This was the second year that Students were invited to an awards ceremony for the formal presentation of certificates and diplomas. 120 students were present at the event, with guests and tutors also in attendance. The University Vice Chancellor David VandeLinde made the presentations.

Kay Rainsley, Administrative Co-ordinator for Open Studies, said: “There is something very satisfying about seeing the excited cohort of students eagerly awaiting their award with proud families and friends watching.”
