Chamber Choir success at Peterborough
The University of Warwick Chamber Choir gained second place in both the Mixed Voice and Championship classes at the Peterborough Choral Competition on Sunday 9th November.
The Peterborough Choral Competition is a biannual event that started in 1999. It has been extremely successful, with up to 30 choirs taking part.
For a choir with approximately 20 per cent new membership this year, and only four weeks to prepare two different programmes, this is a fantastic achievement. The Adjudicator’s comments reflected the impact the Choir made, mentioning the energy, commitment and variety of the singing, and calling the membership the most talented raw material in the day’s competition.
