From the summer term, the Centre for Academic Practice is offering a new accredited programme in e-learning, the Warwick E-Learning Award (WELA).

This is a Masters level postgraduate award programme, which aims to enhance staff skills and understanding and reward achievement in the use of technology in teaching and learning. The programme provides a coherent and recognised professional development pathway, yet draws on opportunities and support that already exist across the University whilst undertaking a small e-learning development project. It can be used to build upon activities that staff may already be engaged in.

Detailed information on the programme and application process is available from the WELA website, http://www.warwick.ac.uk/go/cap/wela/

Please note that the deadline for applications is 13th February 2004.

Those interested are encouraged to discuss their needs and ideas for e-learning development projects with the course leader, Dr Jay Dempster, Centre for Academic Practice, tel. 24670 or email jay.dempster@warwick.ac.uk
