Young William Davis, from the Channel 4 Documentary series Born To Be Different received a memorable treat last weekend as special guest at the Nationwide League Division One match at Highfield Road, Coventry..

This, courtesy of Warwick Conferences, who upon hearing of the four-year-old's love for football arranged a special VIP day to see the Ipswich Town football team in action.

According to William’s father,

“The look on his face throughout the day was a joy for all to see. He loves the buzz, the atmosphere of being at a football match, and this was an extra special occasion for him. We bought him a new Ipswich shirt for the match and he didn’t take it off until the following night. It was a weekend that none of us will ever forget and we owe an enormous debt of gratitude to people at Warwick Conferences and some of their clients who contributed to make it happen.”

Dannie Cahill, General Manager of Arden Training Conference Centre,

“It was wonderful to see William having such a great time and I’m glad we were able to give him so much joy.”

William suffers from Tuberous Sclerosis and has acute epilepsy and learning difficulties. Ever since his condition was highlighted in the documentary series, staff at Warwick Conferences have taken this brave little boy to their hearts.

Last year they raised more than £1,300 to assist with the purchase of special light therapy equipment for William, which helps him to deal with the adverse effects of his condition.
