People wandering through the piazza yesterday lunchtime may have wondered at the woman on a rowing machine.
Trixie Gadd was rowing 30,000m in order to raise money for her global sailing challenge and Save the Children (more).
With the help and support of her friends and colleagues collecting money, Trixie managed to complete the 30km row in 2 hours 26 minutes, raising £185 from passers-by and over £500 from pledged sponsorship.
Despite her exhausting efforts, Trixie still managed to tap-dance for over an hour yesterday evening!
Her fundraising activities will continue throughout the year as she prepares for her Global Challenge departure on 3rd October.
