As the graduate marketplace becomes increasingly competitive, never has there been a greater need for graduates to have evidence of quality work experience when applying for their first job. The University has joined a consortium of higher education institutions highlighting the value of work experience and promoting the West Midlands as a region in which to work. Funded by Advantage West Midlands, Graduate Advantage helps to place students and graduates in placements across the West Midlands. The team at Graduate Advantage can assist in finding student and recent graduate placements, part-time during term time and full-time during vacations.

It isn't just businesses who can benefit from Graduate Advantage services. University departments, both academic and administrative can employ students or graduates to work on projects which otherwise might be left on the back burner due to lack of time and resources.
