Want to recognise their efforts but a bottle of wine or a voucher from Costcutter won’t do?

Why not nominate them for the Student Employee of the Year Award?

Unitemps are once again, seeking to elect a student employee to represent Warwick in the Student Employee of the Year Award, organised by the National Association of Student Employment Services (NASES).

The award, open to all undergraduates working part-time to finance their studies, recognises the impact of the students’ work, both in terms of enhancing their skills base and curriculum vitae and also in bringing new ideas and a fresh approach to their employers.

According to last year’s nominee Adam Boddison, who was recognised for his unique contribution to work carried out in the within NAGTY, the Development and Alumni Relations Office and the Communications Office, “Winning the Employee of the Year award in 2003 has given me more opportunities than expected. Departments from all over the campus have approached me with potential work. It also gives a great boost to your self-confidence and something a bit different to make your CV stand out to potential employers.”

Students can be nominated in any of the following ways:

• Nominate themselves, with the approval and support of their employer.
• Employers can nominate a student (including all University Departments) or
• Unitemps can nominate a student.

Nominees will be judged on reliability, quality of work, initiative, disposition, and contribution to their employers. Deadline for receipt of all nominations is 23 April, 2004.
