Students' Union - 30 Year Celebrations

This year sees the 30th anniversary of the construction of the University of Warwick Students' Union building. As part of this anniversary the SU is celebrating the action that was taken to get the purpose-built Students' Union Building constructed in 1974 as well as the progression of the Union throughout the last thirty years, part of which I hope you remember!

The launch of our celebrations is an event on Friday 16th April 2004. Commencing at 7pm with a formal drinks reception in the Union South building, the event will host a large-scale and hugely comprehensive exhibition outlining our Union's development and activity over the past three decades, a full and varied programme of entertainments (including live jazz, a String Quartet and a disco through the decades!) and of course an evening buffet.

We would like any academic staff who have had a particularly close connection to the Students' Union or maybe a former student or officer here to come along to this occasion and celebrate with us.

If you are interested in attending then please email Richard Watson, Education Officer at education@sunion.warwick.ac.uk

The last 30 years has seen Warwick Students' Union grow into one of the biggest and best in the country and this reunion of old friends and colleagues will be your opportunity to see how far we have come and how far we are planning to go.
