As part of National Pro Bono week, the Law Society of England & Wales in association with The Institute of Legal Executives, Solicitors Pro Bono Group and Bar Pro Bono Unit has embarked upon a unique promotional event to raise the profile of pro bono work.

The ‘Pro Bono Bus’ has been travelling the country, stopping at various institutions and organisations and providing information on how lawyers, students and local community organisations can engage in pro-bono schemes in their areas.

Next stop will be at Warwick this Wednesday between 3.30p.m and 5 p.m.

The specially designed double-decker will have general information about pro bono downstairs and an open space upstairs where there will be discussions and presentations.
Also on top of the bus will be a pro bono promotion event, showing you the different types of volunteering you can get involved with like Citizens' Advice and the Refugee Centre.

On board will be Michael Napier, the Pro Bono Envoy to the Attorney General who will be giving a speech on the role of pro bono and how it can be developed within law schools. He will be accompanied by the Deputy Vice President of the Law Society of England & Wales and Chair of the Bar Pro Bono Group, Robin Knowles QC.

The bus will be in the piazza so come along and have a look round!
