New Season at Warwick Arts Centre

Tickets for the full line up of live events for the Autumn/Winter season at Warwick Arts Centre are now on sale.

Highlights this season include live music from Newton Faulkner, Alison Moyet, The Proclaimers, Soweto Gospel Choir, Gypsy Kings & Queens, Carousel, and Tinariwen; comedy from Jimmy Carr, Julian Clary, Al Murray; and drama from Deepcut and The Black Album.

The grand reopening of the Butterworth Hall will be celebrated with a gala concert from the Philharmonia Orchestra on Wednesday 7th October.  The 1,500 seat concert hall has been closed for a year for a major multi-million pound redevelopment.  The interior of the hall was demolished and has been replaced with a new stage, flooring, seats and improved wheelchair access. The acoustics have been improved and the technical equipment has also been upgraded.

Later in the season, the Arts Centre will become a perfect winter wonderland for the festive spectacular that is the Lyric Hammersmith production of Cinderella which will run from Sat 28 Nov 2009 - Sun 3 Jan 2010.

Theatre-lovers who are under 26 years old can take advantage of the “Night Less Ordinary” promotion with free tickets to some of the best shows this season.

As well as this programme of new events for the Autumn, the Arts Centre runs a programme of free lunchtime concerts with performances from professional and student ensembles. Find out more.
