Graduates from the University of Warwick’s Part-time, 2+2 and Foundation Degree programmes brought along family and friends to help them celebrate their success at this year’s graduation ceremonies.

This year, a total of 93 Lifelong Learning students graduated; 71 from the part-time and 2+2 degrees, and 22 from the Foundation Degree Programme (Early Years, Community Enterprise and Development and Post Compulsory Education and Training [PCET]).

Subjects that were studied include Early Childhood Studies, Early Childhood Education Studies, Social Studies, Health and Social Policy, Historical Studies, European Studies, English and Cultural Studies, Labour Studies and PCET.

These graduation ceremonies were often a fitting end to some incredible journeys. Manjit Bath achieved her Foundation Degree in Community Enterprise and Development. She says: “This degree has been a life changing journey, which has certainly taken me out of my comfort zone to levels of academia that I never thought I would achieve.”

“The support from the College (NWHC) and the University of Warwick has been brilliant, the tutors have been so supportive and have always believed in me, even through my challenging times.”

Naomi Alsop was awarded a first class BA Honours Degree in Social Studies (2+2 Degree) and enjoyed it so much that she will be studying for a Masters Degree! She says: “I stumbled across the 2+2 degree at Warwick, plucked up the courage to go to an open day and received lots of encouragement from the CLL team. A lot of hard work and support later, I’ve achieved a first class honours degree and I have been accepted onto a Masters Course.”
