Warwick Musical Theatre Students to Perform Edinburgh Fringe Festival

Perfect ChangeWarwick musical theatre students will perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer after showcasing their production at Warwick Arts Centre.

The 4TUNE Theatre company will preview “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” by Joe DiPietro on Wednesday 25th June before heading up to Scotland.

The show is a fast-paced humorous exploration into how predictable humans are when it comes to matters of the heart. Four cast members will play over 40 characters, accompanied by live music.

Holly Jones, the Company Manager, says: “The show is about love, sex and comedy. It follows different relationships. It starts off with an awkward ‘unlucky-in-love’ couple trying to have a date, and it works through other scenarios like wedding day jitters, marital arguments in the car, and even old people meeting.

“It’s quite a new show, it was first performed in the 1990s, so anyone who has experienced relationship issues will relate to it.”

This will be the first time the 4TUNE Theatre Company will perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. As Jones explains: “The Company is a group of current and ex-Warwick University students. We’ve performed a lot at the Warwick Arts Centre, but we formed our own Company to take the show to the Fringe Festival.”

But we’re really excited about previewing the show at the Warwick Students Arts Festival. It’s such a good opportunity to showcase your work alongside other students.”
