Warwick Student Arts Festival 2010
This year's Warwick Student Arts Festival will take place from Friday 25 to Monday 28 June 2010 on central campus, absolutely free of charge.
Now in its 7th year, WSAF is the largest student run arts festival of its kind and is dedicated to showcasing and celebrating all aspects of student arts.
With a programme of over 100 events spanning the artistic spectrum there is something to cater for all tastes: rock to jazz, modern dance to salsa, Shakespeare to musical theatre and modern art to photography, to name just a few. Over 70 societies will be taking part with many performances from individuals and small groups. Whether it is Big Band or break dancing that takes your fancy, come along and discover the impressive artistic talents and cultural diversity of the study body and local community alike.
This year’s festival also sees the arrival of Funday Sunday, a family day out taking place on Sunday 27 June, designed to celebrate the relationship between the University and the wider community. The day will feature a range of free student and community-led events including theatrical productions, arts and crafts workshops and a variety of musical performances.
Alan Rivett, Director of Warwick Arts Centre, said: “Warwick’s Student Arts Festival is a wonder of creativity, showcasing all that is best about the vitality of youth and artistic energy. I’m really looking forward to this one!”
