Sport at Warwick

The slogan at Warwick is ‘Sport for All’ - the University has invested significantly in providing outstanding sports facilities to enhance the experience of staff, students and visitors on campus.

The campus boasts an incredible array of sporting facilities, including 60 acres of playing fields, two sports halls, three artificial pitches, a fitness suite, swimming pool and indoor centres for climbing and tennis - all within easy walking distance of the campus residences.

There are over 70 sports clubs at the University and these are overseen by Warwick Sport, a joint venture between the Department of Physical Education and Sport and Warwick SU, the latter having been awarded a Silver 'Be a Champion’ status by the NUS for its work in Olympic inspired activity. This award follows student contribution to sport, recognised by LOCOG and the NUS: One World Week Sport received accreditation for its work in inspiring students whilst Warwick Sport Clubs were given the ‘Inspire Mark’ for their work in the local community.

Warwick has been designated as an Official Training Venue for Olympic Football and teams will be usings our facilities during the London 2012 Games.
