The Research Computing Drop In is a weekly event to support, engage, and inform all Warwick researchers from PGR to Senior Professor in all things Research Computing. Research Computing is any research where use of a computer is integral to the research. Anyone matching this description is welcome to come along and engage with others on this topic.

Bioinformatics RTP Clinics take place weekly in a 3-hour format. Join us at any point during these three hours and we will deal with your Bioinformatics queries on the spot if at all possible. Talk to us about Bioinformatics analyses, new technologies, high-performance computing, programming, one-to-one training, or any other questions. Do feel free to just join us for chat, too, without a specific question.

The agenda will feature presentations from Warwick community members, including short talks by a Senior Research Software Engineer from the University of Manchester (UK) and a UK Research Technology Strategist at Microsoft. There will be ample opportunities for networking during lunch and the unconference session. We are thrilled to announce that Godwin Yeboah, a Senior Research Software Engineer from the Research Computing team, has been selected as a Software Sustainability Fellow for the 2025 cohort. This prestigious fellowship recognizes Godwin's dedication to advancing software practices and his visionary plan to establish a Community of Digital Humanities Research Software Engineers in the Midlands.

The fellowship, which includes a £4000 grant and mentorship, will empower Godwin to foster collaboration and innovation among like-minded professionals. He will join a network of passionate fellows committed to promoting excellence in software sustainability and community-building.

Congratulations to Godwin on this remarkable achievement! We look forward to witnessing the positive impact of his fellowship on the digital humanities and research software engineering landscape.

The Research Technology Platforms (RTPs) are hosting an event to celebrate 10 years of the RTP programme. We invite members of the University to join us as we showcase how the RTPs have grown over the past decade and facilitated innovation in research and development at Warwick and beyond.

Join us for the RTP 10 year celebration seminar series! This Research Computing seminar will showcase RTP-enabled research from a broad range of disciplines, from modern languages and cultures through to psychology, life sciences and chemistry. We will also highlight the research computing infrastructure, support and expertise available to all Warwick researchers through the RTPs.
