Departmental Introduction Sessions
Scientific Computing
SCRTP provides specialist computing resources for all researchers at Warwick, although as the name suggests we grew out of the classic "Science" fields. We offer dedicated computing hardware, including high-core-count clusters, GPUs, and high-memory nodes, as well as a "taskfarm" suitable for many small computational jobs. We provision a range of software on our facilities, including R/R-Studio, compilers for most programming languages and ML/AI packages; suitable software can be added on request.
For departments with a few staff or students who may be interested, please direct them to our regular term-time drop-in sessionsLink opens in a new window for support.
For departments and groups with larger numbers who do, or might like to, use the SCRTP facilities, we can offer the following by arrangement:
- A five or ten minute presentation suitable for student induction sessions etc
- A thirty minute introduction with further details and time for questions
- Optionally an additional half-hour for hands-on help with sign-up and using the systems; and/or support deciding which of our facilities is most suitable
Please email resource.rse{at}warwick.ac.uk to discuss this.
