Associate Professor

Associate Professor Melina Kunar

The Department of Psychology is delighted that Dr Melina Kunar has been granted a Turing Fellow award.

Dr Kunar’s interdisciplinary research brings together the fields of perception, decision making and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The goal of her research is to understand how these fields combine in order to understand how humans interact with AI systems and how they might guide and influence decision making in real world tasks such as medical imaging and diagnostics.

The work has important implications for both science and society and will be greatly enhanced as a result of this fellowship and engagement with the Institute and its members.
