What is Course Registration?
Course Registration is an annual obligation confirming that your personal details, such as addresses and contact details, and course details are correct and up to date. It also reaffirms that you agree to observe the Charter, Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations (in effect 'The Rules') of the University.
Returning from Temporary Withdrawal
Students due back to the University following a period of temporary withdrawal must follow the instructions from the Student Records team regarding returning to studies, including submitting a resumption of studies request. Failure to follow this guidance will result in you not being able to re-enrol, and you cannot resume your studies until you have re-enrolled.
Why do I need to complete Course Registration again?
Students must complete Course Registration annually in order to be enrolled at the University. Students that do not complete Course Registration will no longer be treated as a student of the University and their rights (such as library and IT access) will be revoked.
- It allows us to confirm that you are actually continuing with your course of study and remain eligible to use the Library and IT Services.
- It gives you the opportunity to ensure that all the details we hold about you are correct.
- It ensures we have an accurate picture of how many students we have so we can plan our facilities and resources accurately.
- In many cases completing Course Registration also allows you to register for modules and/or examinations.
In the majority of cases students should complete Course Registration in August for the new academic year (e.g. August 2024 for the 2024/25 academic year). Please be aware that if you do not complete your Course Registration within five weeks of being asked to do so, you risk being withdrawn from the university.
