What is Vevox?

Vevox is an interactive and easy-to-use audience engagement tool. It enables you to participate in live polling, quizzes, Q&A, and surveys.

Students participate in Vevox activities using their phone, tablet, or laptop. Your answers are anonymous, unless your tutor chooses otherwise.

Vevox can be used to:

  • Give everyone the chance to participate
  • Develop a sense of community
  • Facilitate communication between you and your tutor
  • Remove fear of judgement, as you can respond anonymously
  • Give instant feedback to polls and quizzes
  • Make classes fun!

Video introduction

Vevox activity types

Polls & quiz

Polling enables you to share your views and opinions, giving everyone an equal voice - even if you don't feel confident speaking in front of the class.

Your tutor might use a quiz to keep classes energising and engaging!

Q&A

The Q&A opens up a two-way dialogue between you and your tutor.

You can ask your tutor questions through the Q&A board, which is especially helpful for large lectures. You can voice which questions are important to you by upvoting those you want answered most.

Surveys

Surveys are used to facilitate engagement outside of the live classroom environment. Your tutor might ask you to submit feedback, or complete a quiz as homework.

Your survey responses won't be visible to other students.

If your tutor sets an activity in Vevox, they should provide clear instructions of what they expect you to do. Please ask them if you're not sure.
