This sculpture is typical of Jones’ later work where sometimes witty, non-realistic human forms are created using flattened and simplified shapes.

In 2024, thanks to a conservation grant from the Henry Moore Foundation, the sculpture was conserved and repainted in its original colours.

The conservator reported that the sculpture had a failing and badly faded paint coating. He found corrosion to the welded joints, base and upper areas and also discovered that over the years the paint system had been overpainted, resulting in a change in colours.

Flaking paint and layers of different paint colours were found during the conservator's investigations.

Post investigation the paint was removed, the corrosion was addressed and the sculpture was repainted.
