Old Bramble Leaves by Andy Goldsworthy
|
Goldsworthy completed this work while resident on the University campus over the May Bank Holiday in 1986. The ephemeral structures Goldsworthy created survived in photographs and words, he wrote about this event:
Old Brambles Leaves Turning brown at the edges. Pressed on to a mound of mud and sticks. Prickles on underside of leaves securing them against the wind. Started as a collaboration with a student in Newcastle '84. Clouds, rain, bright sun.
