Based in New York, Moseni uses the Van Dyke print to create many of her works. In this 19th century photographic technique, the paper is coated with hand applied emulsion, exposed to sunlight and developed with water. The result is a print which looks rich and three dimensional, with a velvety finish. Moseni has moved from figure work to the still life. She has commented on the Float series of works: " I was dealing with a contradictory sense of scale and the whole area of floating in space. My greatest dream is to go to the moon and float in black space. The series Float is an expression of that dream."
