Night Moth by Brad Lochore

Night Moth by Brad Lochore

From ‘Bugs – the Print Portfolio’ 2000

The moth’s famous fascination for lights during dark hours is evoked in this composition by Lochore. The contours of the orange glow of the table lamp in a dark space suggest the outline of the insect’s wings while the amorphous shape above evokes a fluttering movement.

The ten works which comprise Bugs – the Print Portfolio were generously donated by the artists for publication by the Byam Shaw School of Art in London to use as a means of raising funds for post-graduate scholarships. The series was produced in 2000 in an edition of 90.
