Born near Leipzig, East Germany, Kunzemann trained with his father-in-law, the country potter Chris Harris. In the late 60s and early 70s he produced sgraffitto decorated wares. Today, most of the production at the Evenlode Pottery, near Moreton in the Marsh, is slipware.
