Born 1946, Leith, Scotland.

Eileen Lawrence trained at Edinburgh College of Art from 1963-68. Her first solo exhibition was at the 57 Gallery in Edinburgh in 1969. She lived in London from 1969-72 and then in Germany from 1972-73 before returning to Edinburgh. The Usher Gallery in Lincoln organised a retrospective of her work in 1992 and she showed at the Mead Gallery in 1998.

Her work is in the collection of the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh.
