Francis Offman was born in Rwanda in 1987. In 1999 he moved with his parents to Italy. He currently lives and works in Bologna.

His early interest in art was sparked by cartoons that his father had bought in Europe and brought back to Rwanda as gifts for him. Initially he began learning to draw Manga and then found painting. His painting is abstract and makes use of found, donated materials and frequently coffee.

An exhibition of Offman’s work will take place at our Mead Gallery here on campus from the 3 May – 23 June 2024.
