The Vanishing Land, 2010 - a ghost-like house shape appears to float above the sea. It is one of a suite of four prints entitled 'Inside is Dry Land' made in response to reports of the effects of coastal erosion on coastlines bordering places such as Skipsea North Yorkshire where houses have collapsed along with the crumbling cliffs that supported them. As the sea steadily and continuously overtakes the land it throws up not only practical questions but also those of displacement and the fragility of belonging when the land which once underpinned the place an individual identifies as ‘home’ has disappeared.

These works began to trace a broad interest in the relationship between man and the changing environment which has continued to inform the artist's work to date - the most recent of these iterations involving flora and fauna adapting to a warming world.
