Keir Smith

Keir Smith attended the Fine Art Course at the University of Newcastle from 1969-73 before going on to postgraduate work at Chelsea School of Art from 1973-75. In 1979 he was Resident Sculptor at Grizedale Forest, Cumbria. He has completed numerous outdoor pieces, most notably The Iron Road, for the Forest of Dean Sculpture Project, 1986-87. He taught at Birmingham Polytechnic until 1990 when he took up an appointment as Head of the Sculpture Department at Wimbledon College of Art.
