Neeta Madahar was born in London in 1966.  She took a degree in Mathematics (a family tradition) before pursuing her desire to become an artist.  To this end she studied fine art at the Winchester School of Art, where she explored her interest in video.  After finishing her degree Madahar then went to America to study for a Masters degree in Art at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.  It was during her time in Boston that Madahar created the series of works Sustenance.
